9000 Series Start-up

Please note that this Tech. Tip applies to the Legacy 9000 Series products only.
This includes: A-9060DH/S, A-9120DH/S/DL, A-9240SH, M-9000.

When using the 9000 for the first time or any time the MODE selector is changed or a module is added or removed.

  • Before making any changes, unplug the AC cord
  • Decide on the MODE required, MATRIX or MIX

Insert the modules in the correct order:

  • Plug the AC cord in
  • The 9000 display will show, depending on the previous mode, “ERASE MIXER MEMO?” or “ERASE MATRIX MEMO?”
  • Select ENTER on the front of the 9000
  • The unit will power down and now be at factory reset condition.
  • Select the POWER button on the front panel and you will now be ready to program.

TIP:
Please note that some programming information is contained in the modules and if a programmed module is moved from one 9000 to another, the programming will not change unless the above procedure is followed. This could happen if swapping a module into a slot that had already contained the same module type. Applying power may not recognize the changed module.

Unplugging the 9000 before making the above changes and re-initialization will help prevent unpredictable results.
