Infrared microphones are widely used as a convenient wireless communication tool, because of their security features against eavesdropping and radio interference. They are a very secure and confidential way to conduct important meetings and conferences. Infrared Wireless Microphones are also ideal for classroom environments. They do not rely on wireless frequencies, and can be used in every room of your facility without interference.
The light spectrum is made up of visible and invisible light. The visible light spectrum includes violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. Infrared light is invisible to the eye and harmless to the body. It has light waves with wavelengths(*1) that are longer than that of visible red light rays, and therefore called "infra-red" rays. Ultraviolet light is on the other end of the light spectrum, and has a shorter wavelength than that of visible violet light rays. While ultraviolet light has ill effects on the human body, (e.g. sunburn), infrared light does not.
Light does not penetrate walls(*2), therefore the infrared microphone has three key features:
(*2) Penetrates the transparent walls, such as glass walls and windows.
Highly recommended for conference, board rooms, and classrooms, located close to each other.
